In Memory of Joshua Lynde Garrison

Josh Garrison was a big part of the Safe Haven Baby Box Family. He installed 20 of the 137 baby boxes we have in operation and helped develop an installation guide. The last installation he did was baby box #100 in Zionsville. At only 39 years old, Josh lived life and helped everyone along the way. Please consider a donation in honor of our friend. Josh will be sorely missed.

Joshua Lynde "Josh" Garrison, 39, passed away on March 6, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Greg and Becky (Coomer) Garrison, who survive. He owned and operated Rescue Plumber and was a volunteer firefighter with the Woodburn Fire Department for 20 years. He loved helping people and over the years installed 20 baby boxes for Safe Haven Baby Boxes. Josh was known for his patience, a quality that made him a great teacher and mentor, two things he loved doing. He also enjoyed exploring, camping, hunting and spending time in the outdoors. He is also survived by his wife of 13 years, Abbi; children, Brady, Olivia and Porter; brother, Chris Garrison; in-laws, Paul and Cyndi Demaree; sisters-in-law, Allison (Michael) Demaree-Coale and Kristen Garrison; and nephews, Kai, Camdyn and Archer. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Delano and Iris Garrison and James and Marilyn Coomer. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Woodburn Community Center, 22735 Main St, Woodburn, IN 46797 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 11 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Woodburn Community Center.
